The Whisper Room, established in 2019 with support from the Center for Teaching Innovation, is a dynamic recording studio located in the Investigative Biology Laboratories. Designed to foster creativity and communication, the space allows students, faculty, and staff to explore innovative ways to present scientific discoveries. In 2024, the Whisper Room hosted over 200 reservations, supporting more than 50 users from over 25 different departments. It has become a hub for projects such as podcasts, research endeavors, class assignments, video recordings, and the creation of educational materials. Both undergraduate and graduate students, as well as faculty and staff, have utilized the space to record high-quality audio, conduct interviews, and engage in various forms of media to share scientific knowledge. The room also serves as a key resource for the undergraduate podcasting club, State of the Pod, enhancing collaboration across disciplines.
