Joseph Ruesch – Education Postdoctoral AssociateJoseph Ruesch is an evidence-based educator who is assisting with instructing BIOG 1500. As a former teaching assistant for the course, his significant experience working in our labs is a huge asset and informs his practical approach to pedagogy. He manages our team of undergraduate teaching assistants as well as co-teaches BIOG 6500, the invite-only pedagogy course open to graduate students serving as BIOG 15oo TAs. In addition to these duties, Joseph also contributes to the curriculum at large and leads several of our lectures, teaching 400+ undergraduate students over the course of the semester. Chelsea Maceda – Assistant Lab CoordinatorChelsea oversees the learning management systems for BIOG 1500, ensuring the seamless integration and operation of the various learning technologies used throughout the course. In addition to these responsibilities, she oversaw the creation of a Whisper Room podcast recording studio, which serves students, staff, and faculty from across the Cornell community. The studio hosts around 200 reservations per year, supporting a wide range of academic and creative projects.
