Eliana Jacobson (2016) is one of our dedicated undergraduate TA’s. She worked closely both with Dr. Sarvary and our Course Coordinator Irena Horvatt to engage our students in science through social media via our Twitter feed “live from lab” sections. You can check out her profile here. She was a huge asset to the Investigative Biology team, and we are very proud!

“Most students (and to be honest: so do I), first go to Wikipedia to learn about a new phenomenon.” – Dr. Mark Sarvary

Dr. Sarvary, along with librarians Ashley Downs and Kelee Pacion, together have created a course focused on developing Wikipedia as a true resource. Focusing on the scientific communication process, quality control, and academic integrity, the course educates students through the creation and editing of student selected biology stubs. More information on this course can be found here.
